NextPage, Inc. announced an end-to-end Content Management & Publishing Solution for departments that create and provide access to business-critical documents, such as compliance guidelines, corporate policies, best practices, or other reference information. The new solution includes NextPage NXT 3, NextPage Solo, and new NextPage Content@, a content management application integrated with NextPage's Content Network architecture. With the combined applications, customers can author, manage, assemble, and deliver accurate information more efficiently and at a lower cost than other solutions. The NextPage Content Management & Publishing Solution combines the capabilities of new NextPage Content@, an application that provides content management and workflow capabilities, and NextPage NXT 3, an application that enables companies to virtually aggregate and deliver information to end users. NextPage Solo adds the benefit of being able to deliver content to users physically disconnected from a company network. The new solution leverages all of the capabilities of the NextPage Content Network, which gives publishing departments the ability to deliver integrated access to content residing on different servers. NextPage Content@ is an XML-based product that enables publishing departments within corporations to efficiently author, manage, and assemble information with content management features and workflow. With NextPage Content@, authors can capitalize on the value of information by being able to route it through the editorial and workflow process quickly and efficiently, improving service to their customers. NextPage Content@ is built on content management technology from XyEnterprise. NextPage Content@ lets users work with their familiar desktop applications like Microsoft Word or XML editors to author and revise information. The product stores and manages completed documents in a dynamic database of reusable information objects, which can be documents, paragraphs, or sentences. These objects can be combined with new or existing content objects to create new documents. NextPage Content@ tracks the placement of these objects, so when a change is made to an object, that change is reflected in every document that uses that object. NextPage NXT 3 provides companies the ability to aggregate NextPage Content@ information, along with content of other formats, creating a virtual repository of distributed information, or Content Network, that end users access through a Web interface. NXT 3 allows users to search and navigate the information from these resources in real time as if all of the information resided on their desktops. For those workers who are disconnected from the company network, NextPage Solo provides these users with access to information in the same fashion as NXT 3, except the content being accessed resides on an individual's hard drive or on a CD-ROM. This means that no user has to work without access to the latest business-critical content. In related news, NextPage announced that Oceana Publications, Inc. will standardize its publishing process on the NextPage Content Management & Publishing Solution.
