Introduction |
||||
In an effort to learn more about businesses preferences within the 8.1 million ton paper market for cut-sheet paper, continuous forms, and recycled paper, InfoTrends/CAP Ventures launched a new survey in early 2005 which returned a well-distributed range of results from over 570 business respondents. Questions in the survey covered many aspects of this market including types of paper, paper by type of equipment, recycled paper, continuous forms, and paper expenditures. The results of this survey are now available in a new report entitled End-Users Voice Opinions About Paper. People Prefer ColorAccording to the report, over 70% of respondents indicated they are printing more documents in color than they were two years ago. This is good news for supplies manufacturers. Color equipment uses more consumables and the cost of consumables for these devices is about four times more than traditional black & white output devices. |

Most respondents do not expect to change their printing habits in the next two years, with 71% planning to use about the same amount of cut-size paper in the next two years. In addition, nearly a quarter of the respondents expect to increase their use of this type of paper. This is good news for the paper companies because the predictions for a paperless office do not seem to be coming to fruition, at least in the short term. The preceding is an excerpt from InfoTrends/CAP Ventures’ report “End-Users Voice Opinions About Paper.” The complete document is available immediately. In addition to the full report, InfoTrends/CAP Ventures is offering 3 sub-sections of the report that focus on cut-size paper, recycled paper, and continuous forms. Each report includes the introduction, methodology, definitions, executive summary, and general findings & analysis sections excerpted from the full study as well as the relevant analysis portion. Recommendations, conclusions, and data tables are also included. To learn more about the reports or to make a purchase, please visit our online store or contact:
